DCS 1224 Driver Uninstall Information In Order To Properly Install This New Driver (Version 120), You Will Need to Remove All Of The Old Driver Files With The Use OF This Program Instructions 1. Download the file and save to either your hard drive, or a floppy disk. 2. Double click on the file to start the program. 3. To uninstall DCS 1224 driver files, select uninstall. 4. Reboot the PC as per the instructions on the screen. 5. When the PC restarts, go the Explorer Window to search for more files that have to be deleted. 6. Find the Windows\INF folder on your hard drive. If you do not see this folder, select "Tools" in Explorer, and go to folder options. In folder options select "view all hidden files". 7. Find the first OEM file called oem0.inf. There will be a number of files with the same name, but the numbers will change. The number of files you have depends on what hardware/drivers are on your computer. To select the DCS 1224 files that have to be removed, double click on each OEM file (one at a time) and view the displayed screen. The screen will describe who made the file. The only files that need to be deleted are the ones that say DCS 1224 etc.etc. 8. Every OEM file has two parts. One is called the INF file and the other is the PNF file. When you delete the specific OEM file you must also delete the same PNF file. 9. Be careful not to delete any other file that does not say DCS 1224, otherwise other hardware devices may fail to work properly. If you are not sure, why not copy those files to a floppy disk as a safeguard!
